Quick Hints

General guidelines to winning games:

• Don't expose any sets / keep your hand concealed even if it means missing out on a set. There seems to be a feature in the programming of this game that benefits you if you don't go for the obvious hands.
• Try and make mainly Chows not Pungs.
• Discard orphaned numbered tiles first.
• Resist the temptation to make Chows with 9s and 1s.
• Resist the temptation to make Chows with two tiles with the missing tile between them e.g. 6 and 8.
• Try and keep hold of dragons and winds as long as possible whilst making up your hands. You find that the opponents use these less frequently to make winning hands so you can drop them with '''''less '''''impunity if they have called Riichi.
• The opponents rarely win hands with 1's or 9's.
• Before calling Riichi make sure that the tile you want hasn't been discarded by an opponent.

These are general rules; if, for example, you get dealt a hand that is mainly pairs, then go for that.

• 100,000 点棒 Mahjong Sticks (¥100,000)

• 10,000 点棒 Mahjong Sticks (¥10,000)

There is an opportunity to stack the game your way with the 積み込みの牌 Loaded Tile .

Games

So long as you have 25,000 Mahjong sticks you can play on one of the tables:

• Easy table 弱 (table nearest reception)
• Normal table 中
• Hard table 強 (furthest table from reception)
• Participate ??? 参加?ら

Beware though, if you are trying to get 50,000 points on the Easy table, it's not that easy. It can be done, but it's not easy.

• やっていく - Get on with it
• やらない - Don't bother (exit)

In game menu

• グームを開始する - Play
• 麻雀を終了する - Quit Mahjong
• ルールを？？する - Rules settings
• 麻雀のを？？知識 - Mahjong instructions

Rules Settings

• 対局形式 - 半荘戦 - Half game / Quarter game
• 食いタン - Kuitan "Biting fish?" Get points from stealing tiles to complete open hands
• ニ??いり - 2 fan minimum scoring option
• 赤ドラ - Red Dora

!NB It is probably easier to change the settings to Half Game to get the minigame conditions

Get more than 50,000 points in Single Game. It would probably be easier to play a Half Game which can be changed in the settings.
