Locations

  • Ryuugujo Gambling Hall, Kamurochou

Talking to the man outside the Koi-Koi kiosk in the gambling hall will bring up the options:

  • やっていく - Play
  • やらない - Don't Play

! You need to have some 木札 Wooden Tags before you can play which can be purchased from one of the men by the entrance. Just like Yakuza 3, 4 and Dead Souls!

Items

Having the following item in your inventory will bring luck to the proceedings:

Settings

  • 難易度 (Difficulty Level) 初級 Elementary Level ; 中級 Intermediary Level ; 上級 Advanced Level ; Highest Grade Level
  • 賭け点 (Stake Points) 10 / 30 points ; 40 / 60 points ; 70 / 90 points ; 最上級 100 / 200 points
  • 7点以上倍点: 7 points plus modifier (採用 Adopt ; 不採用 Reject)
  • 月見酒・花見酒 (Toast for the moon, toast for the cherry blossom): (To do with the August Moon card and the Sakura flowers card) (採用 Adopt ; 不採用 Reject)
  • 菊に盆 カス計算 (Dregs Modifier): (chrysanthemum card modifer when calculating the dregs) (採用 Adopt ; 不採用 Reject)
  • 旬 (Season): (採用 Adopt ; 不採用 Reject)
  • 進行ガイド (Guide): Gives hints (採用 Adopt ; 不採用 Reject)
  • 回数 (Rounds): 3 ; 6 ; 9 ; 12
! Highest Grade Level is unlocked after beating Advanced Level 5 times.

How To Play

! During the game a couple of menu's appear.

One is the Koi Koi menu which is basically saying do you want to bet on you getting a better hand and the opponent not making a hand:

  • こいこいする - Do Koi Koi (Carry on playing)
  • こいこいしない - Don't Koi Koi (Finish this hand)

The second menu is when you get 10 "dregs", but have the possibility to make more so the game is asking whether you want to finish the game now or carry on:

  • する - Do (Finish)
  • しない - Do Not (Carry on with the current game)

Completion

Accumulate 20,000 points.

! To make beating this game not become a chore you are going to need to play on Advanced or Highest Grade. Change the settings up as soon as possible and don't forget to accept them. It will help if you have the Good Luck Hanafuda card.
