Minamida is available to all 5 playable characters:

In Part 5 of the game there are seperate options for Minamida in Kamurochou.


General IF8 Commands

Haruka has her own set, but these commands will generally work for all the male characters:
  • 口 - ラァシュコンボ - Big combo
  • △ - フィニァシュブロウ - Finishing Blow
  • ◯ - 掴み - Grab
  • X - 回避 - Evasion
  • R1 - 構え - Ready stance
  • L1 - ガード - Guard
  • DPAD / L Stick - Move - Up = Jump Up, Down = Duck
  • SELECT - Pause / Quit
  • START- Instructions

Reward Items

The following items are gained after beating the bosses on subsequent plays.

They seem to be distributed randomly.

! NB It may be that the type of item you receive here might have something to do with the lucky email .



Kiryuu in Nagasu

Opens up in Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 Part 1 Chapter 4 Where's that man? after Kiryuu fights Yahata the second time. The 白衣の男 (Man in the white jacket) that Kiryuu saw opposite the Nishio Building starts off this "Master".

Minamida is in the taxi car park stop on the corner of 福博通り 西 - Fukuhaku Street West.

If Kiryuu approaches Minamida, the dialogue between (諶の老人 Mysterious old person / Minamida) and 男 (a man) goes down until the man runs off. The 白衣の男 (Man in the white jacket) that Kiryuu saw opposite the Nishio Building spots Kiryuu and asks him to hold up. They want to do a test with a game. The man introduces himself as 南田 (Minamida) and tells Kiryuu about インナーファイター "Inner Fighter". He has now developed Inner Fighter 8: Road Battle. The 白衣の男 (Man in the white coat) is now known as 南田の助手 (Minamida's Assistant).

From now on Minamida will be in the car park. The first time Kiryuu talks to him, he'll ask:

  • プレイする - Play
  • プレイしない - Don't play
Minamida explains the process then and all subsequent times Kiryuu interacts with him he'll ask:
  • プレイする - Play
  • 詳しい説明を問く - Detailed explanation
  • プレイしない - Don't play
Minamida then asks whether Kiryuu wants to carry on:
  • 永洲街 - Nagasugai
  • やっぱりやめる - Still quit
Minamida takes 10,000 yen off Kiryuu for his troubles. Minamida then tells Kiryuu about レッツ ロードバトル Rest, Road Battles. Kiryuu puts the IF 8 helmet on his head and enters Inner Fighter 8.

Boss Battle: 八幡 Yahata

Minamida explains that the data gained from Kiryuu will be very useful.

Acquire: ヒートゲージの最大値が増加 (HEAT Gauge maximum increase}


Play

Kiryuu has 300 seconds to beat the men in a horizontal Streets of Rage beat 'em up.

Some of the same combos that work in the normal game work in IF8.

Beat the men then win the Boss Battle in the time limit.



Saejima in Tsukimino

The marker for IF8 is in the middle of Ramen Town. When Saejima goes there, there is a 白衣の男 (Man in White Coat). It's 南田の助手 (Minamida's Assistant). He tells Saejima about IF8. If Saejima talks to him again he gets the following menu:
  • プレイする - Play
  • 詳しい説明を問く - Detailed explanation
  • プレイしない - Don't play
He then clarifies:
  • 月見野 - Around Tsukimino
  • やっぱりやめる -Still quit

Boss Battle: Kugihara



Haruka in Soutenbori

IF8 opens up for Haruka after Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 substory 魔法少女ハルカ Magical Girl Haruka which is first available in Ryuu Ga Gotoku Part 3 Chapter 2 Thoughts of Trust . The marker is in Ashitiba Park. When Haruka talks to 白衣の男 (Man in White Coat) / 南田の助手 (Minamida's Assistant) again she gets the following menu:
  • プレイする - Play

  • プレイしない - Don't play
He then clarifies:
  • 蒼天堀 - Soutenbori
  • やっぱりやめる - Still quit

Commands

Haruka puts on the souped up cycle helmet:
  • 口： Close attacks
  • △： Far attacks
  • L1： Guard
  • Up： Jump
  • Down： Crouch

Boss Battle: Mai



Akiyama in Soutenbori

Opens up at the start of Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 Part 3 Chapter 4 Beyond Your Wildest Dreams The 白衣の男 (Man in the White Jacket) appears in the same place in Ashitaba Park as he was for Haruka. 南田の助手 (Minamida's Assistant) then tells Akiyama about IF8:

  • プレイしない - Don't play
The assistant then gives the following option:
  • 蒼天堀 - Soutenbori
  • やっぱりやめる - Still quit
After removing 10,000 Yen from Akiyama's pockets the assistant hands over the headset which Akiyama puts on and enters the marvelous creation of IF8.

Boss Battle: Ogita

Acquire: ヒートゲージの最大値 HEAT Gauge Maximum limit

Shinada in Kineichou

Opens up in the beginning of Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 Part 4 Chapter 4 Fickle Runway after the masked man has been revealed.

The 白衣の男 (Man in the White Jacket) appears in Middo Square.

南田の助手 (Minamida's Assistant) then tells Shinada about IF8:

  • プレイする - Play

  • プレイしない - Don't play
The assistant then gives the following option:
  • 錦栄町 - Kineichou
  • やっぱりやめる - Quit already
After removing 10,000 Yen from Shinada's pockets the assistant hands over the headset which Shinada puts on and enters the marvelous creation of IF8.

Boss Battle: Daigo

Acquire: ヒートゲージの最大値 (HEAT Gauge Maximum limit)

Kamurochou

At the beginning of Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 Part Final Chapter 1 Return Of The Legend , Kiryuu can go to Theatre Underground and talk to 南田 (Minamida).

  • 投資する - Invest in Upgrades
  • プレイしない - Don't play

Invest in Upgrades

Aswell as going to see Minamida under the Theatre in Kamurochou this option is also available at the beginning of Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 Part Final Chapter 1 Return Of The Legend , if Kiryuu goes back to Nagasugai via a taxi and talks to Minamida's Assistant. The second set of options after the initial menu will be:
  • 投資する - Invest in Upgrades
  • やっぱり やめる - Quit

Spend 100,000 yen and it will be upgraded to V1.1

Spend 200,000 yen and it will be upgraded to V1.2

! Only one of the four characters who visit Minamida needs to invest the money. It will be open up to the others after this.

! After investing to 1.2 スキルソウル (Skill Souls) will be given out (up to 8) that allow the player to gain new abilities over Level 20.

Play Kamurochou

All players (including Haruka) when they complete this level get: ヒートゲージの上昇値が増加 HEAT Gauge filling up rate increased.

思い出しバトル Battle Reminisce

In Kamurochou each player can relive an actual 3D battle instead of the 2D side scrolling game that has been played so far.
  • Kiryuu in Kamurocho fights Yahata - ヒートゲージの最大値が増加 - Heat Gauge increased to maximum level - Gained after beating Yahata
  • Saejma in Kamurocho fights Kugihara - ヒートゲージの最大値が増加 - Heat Gauge increased to maximum level - Gained after beating Kugihara
  • Akiyama in Kamurocho fights Ogita - ヒートゲージの最大値が増加 - Heat Gauge increased to maximum level - Gained after beating Ogita
  • Shinada in Kamurocho fights Daigo - ヒートゲージの最大値が増加 - Heat Gauge increased to maximum level - Gained after beating Daigo
