Introduction

Introduced in Part 1 Chapter 2 Uninvited Guest .

When Kiryuu wins the race against Devil Killer Nagata, he is taken to the out of town truck stop.

The customer who was in the taxi takes Kiryuu for some sushi. They talk and Kiryu's health goes up. Afterwards he tells Kiryuu his name 古道 Furumichi (Furumichi's name can be read as Kodou which can translate as "old ways").

Kiryuu then goes back to Nagasu taxi's where usually if he talks to Mrs Hirakawa he will get the next mission(s).

How to win all the races in Race Battles

On the beginner levels you shouldn't have any problems. However, when you move up to intermediate and advanced you are going to have to use the environment to your advantage.

Always use all the HEAT Actions in a race. You can get away with not doing this on the lower levels but the higher levels it is very, very difficult to win without using them. I would generally advise to leave the HEAT Actions for the last lap, especially the one just before the Start / Finish straight. The only time when this is not the case is when you are doing an intermediate lap (the middle one), there are 2 trucks. Always angle behind the trucks to use the HEAT Action. With this one, it doesn't really matter which lap you do it on, just make sure you do it.

Always use the X turbo on the Start / Finish straight on every lap.

If you are still losing then you need to customise your car. Make sure you have the best wheels, chassis and turbo you can afford. If you don't have enough Taxi Points to buy the very best, then do the Free Mission -> Free Highway Drive. You can get 2200 TP for just driving around all 3 circuits and passing through the green rings.

Devil Killers Duel - 激突！デビルキラー - Crash! Devil Killers

Kiryuu talks to Mrs Hirakawa 平川 at the Nagasu Taxi Office and she tells him of a strange call from out of town. Kiryuu guesses it's the Devil Killers. 村松 Muramatsu warns Kiryuu that it was just luck that he beat them last time.

永田 Nagata turns up at the out of town car park / taxi stop and is joined by 渡部 Watabe. Watabe is pissed that a taxi driver beat one of the Devil Killers and has their reputation to uphold. He also mentions the 4 Kings briefly.

Race: Watabe 渡部

After the race the Devil Killer Watabe 渡部 and Nagata mention the 4 kings again and Kiryuu asks who they are.

Back at the Nagasu Taxi Office Mrs Hirakawa and Muramatsu talk some more. Muramatsu looks pissed off and walks to a white board. Meanwhile Nakajima looks on not knowing what to say.

Kiryuu talks to Mrs Hirakawa and Nakajima in the office.

Kiryuu goes to meet a middle aged woman 中年女??. She gets in his taxi and talks.

At the out of town car park / taxi stop the 清川 Kiyokawa and Watabe 渡部 are talking. Then the old woman turns up with Kiryuu. Turns out she's 清川 mum.

Race: 清川浩司 Kiyokawa Kouji

After the race there is the more talking between Kiyokawa, Watabe, Kiryuu and Kiyokawa's mum.

Kiyokawa goes back to the office with Kiryuu to talk to Nakajima. Matsumara also gets involved. Looks like Kiyokawa has a job now at Nagasu Taxis.

Kiryuu talks to Hirakawa and a newly suited Kiyokawa.

At the taxi stop Kiyokawa and Kiryuu talk when 梶原 Kajiwara walks up. Kiyokawa explains that he is one of the 4 Kings. He challenges Kiryuu to a duel. In a taxi.

Back at the out of town car park / taxi stop Kiryuu, Kajiwara and Kiyokawa talk when 吉見 (Yoshimi) turns up. Yoshimi is another of the 4 Kings. There is a lot of waving of hands…

Kajiwara begs Kiryuu for forgiveness. Yoshimi looks like he is Kajiwara's boss and isn't going to take these beatings lying down.

Debrief back at the office with Kiryuu and Kiyokawa with Mrs Hirakawa.

Back at the taxi stop Kiryuu and Murumatsu 村松 talk it out.

Back at the Nagasu Taxi Office Kiryuu talks to Nakajima.

At the out of town car park / taxi stop Kiryuu talks to Kiyokawa. Yoshimi turns up.

Race: クール吉見 Cool Yoshimi

Kiryuu and Kiyokawa rub it in Yoshimi's face.

Back at the office Kiryuu and Kiyokawa talk to Wada and Murumatsu. Kiyokawa is genki and ganbatte.



A Veteran's Approach - ベテランの味 - A Person of Taste

Kiryuu speaks to Mrs Hirakawa and then Kiyokawa comes into frame.

At the out of town taxi stop Kiryuu and Kiyokawa are joined by 中村 Nakamura... in a wedding suit or weird chauffeurs suit.

Race: ジェントル中村 Gentle Nakamura

Back at the car park / taxi stop Nakamura wags his not to gentle finger at Kiryuu with Kiyokawa looking on.

Debrief back at the office with Kiyokawa and Nakajima. The game lingers on the white board for a while! Nakajima has an earnest conversation with Kiryuu back at his desk when his telephone rings. At first the caller is unknown, but it turns out to be 高村 Takamura. After his call Kiryuu and Nakajima are joined by Wada and Kiyokawa around Nakajimas desk.

At the out of town car park; 若いギャラリー (Young Spectator) and 今風のギャラリー (Modern Spectator) are talking to each other when the whole cabal of the Devil Killers turn up (永田 Nagata,渡部 Watabe, クラッシュ梶原 Crash Kajiwara, クール吉見 Cool Yoshimi, ジェントル中村 Gentle Nakamura and デビル高村 Devil Takamura). Takamura chit chats with Kiryuu.

Back at the car park Modern Spectator and Young Spectator see a shamed Takamura. Takamura has it out with Kiryuu and then turns to his men who give him some home truths. Some finger.

誰の男 (Whoever man) walks up and talks to Takamura. Modern Spectator calls him あん人 Apricot seed man because of his pinky peach suit. Turns out his name is 鬼坂 Onisaka. Onisaka wags his finger at Takamura.

Back at the office Kiryuu speaks with Nakajima at his desk who fesses up to his past.

Kiryuu talks to Mrs Hirakawa. Wada comes in behind Kiryuu then Muramatsu gets out his seat and joins in. Kiyokawa enters.

At the out of town car park meets 鬼坂徹 - Onisaka Tooru.

Race: 鬼坂徹 - Onisaka Tooru

At the car park Onisaka wags his finger at Kiryu. Nakajima turns up. Onisaka hugs Nakajima. They then have a talk whilst Kiryuu looks on. Shortly after Furumichi walks into frame and they all discuss the truth of the matter.

Back at the Nagasu Taxi Office, Kiryuu talks to Wada, Mrs Hirakawa, Murumatsu and Kiyokawa. Nakajima and Onisaka enter the office. The camera lingers on the name tags hooked on to the wall and in particular a space that has no name attached to it yet.

Completing this Race Battle opens up a section on the Free Missions menu where you can race all the above. It also opens up a new race against Furumichi detailed below.
