During Haruka's chapters she is able to have dance battles with certain girls.
Apparently some of the events only open up after Haruka has won a certain amount of Street Dance Battles .
1st - アカリ Akari chan
Haruka is introduced to アカリ Akari at the beginning of
Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 Part 3 Chapter 1 Greenroom Dreams after she has been to her apartment.

Akari
Tutorial:
- Use the DPAD to move the pink highlight on the stream with the moving icons then press the relevant face button when it falls in the Action Hole.
- After a while of playing the Damce Battle a second tutorial screen appears explaining the Explosive Meter. In the centre middle of the screen is a gauge on which lies a bomb. If you miss button presses then the bomb moves towards Haruka. If you get button presses correct then the bomb moves towards Haruka's opponents. After a certain amount of time the bomb will explode. It will remove health from the person whose side it is on.
- When the L1 bar appears Haruka can perform a HEAT Action move. Select from the available moves with the DPAD. At the beginning of the first run of the game,Haruka only has {{Cure Breeze}} which is mapped to the △ button.Use this to dominate your opponent.
- もうー度チュートリアルをプレイする - Play tutorial again?
- やめる - Quit
: Reward: 3,000 XP
! The Score Card appears and the Expressiveness stat increase.
Akari and Haruka have a conversation.
! Memo - About Dance Battles - Tells how getting into dance battles can increase Haruka's 表現力 - Expressiveness stat which will help her in the Princess League.
Once Haruka has beaten Akari she can now challenge other girls around Soutenbori to Dance Battles. See Street Battles Section below.

2nd アカリ Akari
This section opens up in
Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 Part 3 Chapter 1 Greenroom Dreams after Horie tells Haruka she has to find Christina. After Haruka has been to Bar Stijl to ask about Christina, she exits the bar and comes across アカリAkari the girl who first challenged her to a Dance Battle outside her apartment. Haruka says she's looking for a Christina and has she seen him. Akari takes Haruka to Christina.

Afterwards Christina tells Akari he is going to train Haruka instead of her. After a long discussion where Akari's hopes and dreams are dashed, she runs off. Haruka remonstrates with Christina, but he is not to be moved.
Back in the dance studio, Christina watches Haruka train whilst Horie and Mirei look on. Christina leaves and Mirei gives Haruka some advice.
Haruka can return to the main story

3rd MAKI
Opens up in
Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 Part 3 Chapter 2 Thoughts Of Trust.
When Haruka walks along the northside of 蒼天堀側道 - Soutenbori Waterfront Path she hears 女の声 "Young Girls Voice". The 女 "Girl" is quite a yankii and points out that Haruka is an アイドル ダンサー (Idol dancer). The 女 "Girl" asks "オドードした女" her "Hesitant Girl" side kick for back up (That is マヒコ - Mahiko. She is also joined by カヨ - Kayo). She says she's the leader of the HIPPERS dance group and he name is MAKI. She wants a dance battle with Haruka.

Her メンバー "Member" is aghast but MAKI says something about ヒップホップ hiphop then walks off with her little posee. Haruka ponders on the hiphop remark! Just then Akari appears behind Haruka. They talk about MAKI and then Akari apologises and mentions Christina. They talk some more before Akari walks off.
Haruka then hears another 女の声 "Young Girls Voice" behind her! Haruka turns round and calls her ユイちゃん "Yuichan" (Have we met her before?). They talk and Yui looks a bit under pressure when Akari returns. They talk about a 2 person act then a 3 person act. All three girls walk off together.
We see them again in a restaurant and they talk about MAKI and HIPPERS and getting a group together.
Haruka and the girls are outside {{鶴橋風月 Tsuruhashi Fugetsu}} which they were probably in before. They leave each other after punching the air in celebration?!?
! Haruka receives an email from Akari and then a few seconds later Yui then a few seconds later Akari again.
4th AYA
When Haruka passes the junction of Bunzaemon path and Shoufukuchou East the camera pans to the sheltered arcade. アカリ Akari hails Haruka. Again 女の声 "Young Girls Voice" is heard and Haruka turns round. This time it’s AYA-desu. She wants a Yeah! Mechha Dance Battle:

AYA says something to astound her groupies and Akari. She leaves and Haruka ponders on ハウス | House.
Akari is amazed as Haruka has now beaten MAKI and AYA. Akari says she needs to tell Yui.
Outside Don Quijote the 3 girls meet up and passively gloat about the victory.
Haruka is now inside Don Quijote with Akari and Yui. Haruka must speak with Yui round the back of the shop and select:
- 大丈夫 - Daijooubu - OK (Choose)
- まだ店内見る - Look around the shop.
The girls take a trip to Club SEGA. They are going to do Purikura.
Inside the arcade Yui is been shouted at by Akari who is checking out the machine.
Haruka then has the
友達と撮ったプリクル Friends Purikura Picture of all 3 of them in her hand.
Outside on the street, bid each other farewell.
Haruka gets an email from someone called lady.panther!

5th JUDY
In the car park at the corner of Shoufukuchou West and South Haruka will be approached by JUDY and her two mates.
She's heard about AYA and MAKI's annihilation and considers her a worthy opponent.

Both girls are knackered after the battle. Judy's gang members are aghast at her defeat!
Christina's name is bandied around before JUDY drops the bombshell that Akari might not be the friend she thought she was.
JUDY serves Haruka with a
ダンスバトルサミットのチラシ Dance Battle Summit Leaflet .
Akari is on Iwao Bridge. When Haruka talks to her she confronts her about the Dance Battle Summit and shows her the Leaflet.
She is initially penitent, but her desire to be a top idol comes out.
After a long talk Akari can't be shifted and she goes to walk off, but Haruka pulls out the big guns and asks her to think about how this will affect Yui and she really needs to reconsider her actions.
This has no effect and she continues to walk without even turning to listen and Haruka remonstrates even more about the Dance Battle Summit.
Akari walks off. Suddenly like Mr Ben Yui turns up. They have a brief chat about Akari.
Haruka ponders about an email. Oh wait! One just arrives from "dbs_info".
6th Akari
When Haruka passes the building on the corner of 文左衛門筋 - Bunzaemon Path there is a marker that hovers in front of the door and is interactable.
It's the building on the north east corner one opposite Revenge Books and SFT Village.
Someone inside is saying "ダンスバトルサミット会場 (Dance Battle Summit)".
- 会場に入る - Enter the venue
- ??をする - Don't enter
When Haruka enters the hall JUDY spots her and calls her by her full name. They talk about Akari being a dick.
The camera focuses on some other dick with "Death Horn" on his top.
That's MC ミッツー MC Mittsii, who they all have to impress. JUDY continues to give Haruka the lowdown.
Yui turns up.
The 司会 Host tells the girls to listen up, then shouts over to JUDY. She's up first.
Judy is on stage and is introduced by the host. MC ミッツー MC Mittsii says something to which JUDY answers.
The host starts giong on about genres and Haruka is in the crowd looking a bit nervous.
Then Haruka is on stage. She wonders about Akari and there is a blank area where Akari should be!
The host wonders where Akari should be… Then there is 女の声 a "Girls Voice" apologising to Haruka.
It's Akari who comes running into the hall. Yui looks happy to see her. JUDY tuts.
Suddenly Akari is on stage next to Haruka. It's on!

Trophy
Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 Trophies ダンスで紡ぐ絆 Bonding with Dance ダンスバトルサミットでアカリと決着をつけた Settle things with Akari at the Dance Battle Summit.
Akari congratulates Haruka on the win and goes to shake her hand and pulls a really fake smile (but that might just be the engine!).
The host comments on the handshake. MC Mittsii buts in.
MC Mittsii is now on the stage and the host introduces him.
He says something that has all the girls in the audience speechless. He then whitters on about genre.
Then announces 夏川アカリ Natsukawa Akari as a winner. Gasps all around. What is going on.
All the girls congratulate Akari and Haruka says some words of encouragement.
Akari goes up on to the stage again and MC Mittsii explains why he chose Akari.

Outside the hall it is dark and Mittsii bids Akari farewell.
Yui, Akari and Haruka are left together and they all thank each other.
They all walk up Bunzaemon Path together and Haruka pulls out the Purikura photo of all three of them and stops to ponder it and spouts some platitude about friends.
The other two have gone some way ahead but turn around and yell at Haruka to catch up. Ah! Friends!
Haruka is left outside {{鶴橋風月 Tsuruhashi Fugetsu}}.
FREE Dance Battles
After Haruka completes the 6th Dance Battle Story, MC Mittsii is outside Ohkando Books on Soutenbori Avenue East. When Haruka talks to him he explains FREE Dance Battles. Haruka can now dance against the following girls when she talks to MC Mittsii:
- Akari
- MAKI -
- JUDY
- 揉山 - Moyama
- リリカ - Ririka
- エマ - Ema
- ヒメコ - Himeko
- セイラ - Saira
- Exit
They are all ranked as HARD. They yeild between 1,500 and 1,700 XP and give up between 1,000 - 8,000 yen when defeated. Theiving pimp Mittsii takes a 500 yen cut off Haruka each time for the privelige of dancing with the girls.
Street Battles
After Haruka first meets Akari in Part 3 Chapter 1 as she goes around Soutenbori she will bump into a number of people who are willing to have Dance Battles with her.

HEAT Actions can be assigned to the four face buttons △□◯×. Haruka can place HEAT moves she gains in her
Ryuu Ga Gotoku 5 Abilities to each of the buttons.

Rewards
Haruka will get certain rewards for each Street Dance Battle which vary depending on the level of the opponent and the level Haruka is at.
300 XP for a loss
700 - 1,300 XP for a win
Haruka will also be randomly awarded between 1,000 - 6,000 Yen by her opponents.
Opponents
Some opponents will start at one level, but as Haruka gains skills, her opponents stats (Rank and Difficulty) will increase too.
