Characterised by his physical stature; he's a big lad.

He has a tattoo of a tiger on his back.

Introduced in RGG4 / Y4 where he has been sentenced to death for having killed 18 members of the Ueno Seiwa Clan in 1985.

Taiga Saejima's section is set in Hokkaido. Initially in Abashiri Penitentiary, he and Shigeki Baba escape together. He loses consciousness after he and Baba are separated and is rescured by an old man, Okudera. Back at Okudera's abode, he tells him of a legendary beast up on the mountain known as "Yamaoroshi."

Whilst recouperating in the mountain village, Saejima has to hunt for food to survive, making use of his hunting gun, traps, and stealth to approach mountain beasts and find his prison friend.

When he and Baba are back on their feet they go to Sapporo city where he eventually gets pointed back to Kamurochou.

Kido shoots Katsuragi and Saejima warns Kiryu and Yasuko of the bulletproof vest that Katsuragi s wearing, but the warning comes too late and Yasuko is fatally shot trying to protect Taiga.
