The disappearance of the 6th chairman of the Tojo clan shortly after being seen in his cab means Kiryuu is again unwittingly dragged back into the Japanese underworld.
This time it's yakuza clans from Fukuoka and Kansai, shady individuals from Nagoya and of course his old clan the Toujou.
- Is a playable character in Part 1 and the Final Part .
- Situations have conspired so that he has had to leave the Sunshine Orphanage. Kiryuu is now a taxi driver in Fukuoka working for {{Nagasu Taxis}}, where he is known under the pseudonym of Taiichi Suzuki.
- Is living with a woman called {{Mayumi}}.

Ryuu Ga Gotoku 4 / Yakuza 4

Kiryu is still running the {{Sunshine Orphanage}}.
During the events of the game he feels guilty for the weakening of the Tojo Clan and realizes the events of Yakuza 2-4 were partially his fault because he chose to run away from his role (and fate) as the Fourth Chairman.
He gets embroiled in a bizarre story involving a rival Tokyo clan, the police and a wide boy money lender who all seem to be linked to a massacre 25 years ago and a dodgy deal to syphon money through the building of a secret penitentiary.
In the finale Kiryu fights a friend who has strayed to the dark side.
In the epilogue, he welcomes {{Taiga Saejima}} (and his newly created family) into the {{Tojo Clan}}.

Ryuu Ga Gotoku 3 / Yakuza 3

- Former Tojo Clan chairman.
Kiryu moved to Okinawa with Haruka and is now running the {{Sunshine Orphanage}}.
However, he is dragged back into the yakuza life when the orphanage building looks to be sold out under his (and the kids) feet.
The government, yakuza and a secret organisation collide in a shady land deal.
Ryuu Ga Gotoku: Kenzan
Pretty much the lead role as Miyamoto Musashi / Kiryuu Kazumanosuke.
During the Sekigahara Battle, Musashi and a bunch of troops are duped into killing a Tokugawa dignitary.
Musashi escapes the trap of his would be captors and goes on the run. He first ends up at the village of his friend's wife and lives with her for a while, but is soon discovered. After mistakenly identified to have killed the woman he was living with he flee's to Gion. He takes up a pseudonym, Kiryuu Kazumanosuke, and works as an oddjob man in the red light district.
However, someone is masquerading under his real name killing more dignitaries. The surviving daughter of one of the dignitaries hears of his swordmanship and asks him to take revenge on her family's killer, Miyamoto Musashi!
Whilst in Gion he falls for the lead tayuu, who happens to be the sister of the woman he was accused of murdering.
He eventually finds out who set him up and who is pulling the strings.
Ryuu Ga Gotoku 2 / Yakuza 2

When the Fifth Chairman of the Tojo Clan , {{Yukio Terada}}, is assassinated in December 15, 2006, Kazuma Kiryu wants {{Sohei Dojima}}'s son Daigo to take the clan's leadership and prevent an upcoming yakuza clan war against the western Omi Alliance.
However, the young man called {{Daigo Dojima}} does not want such a responsibility.
An offshoot of the Omi Alliance, the Go-Ryu clan want control of Kamurocho and with the Korean mafia will do almost anything to get it.
Kiryuu single handedly stops them.
Ryuu Ga Gotoku / Yakuza

December 1995, Kiryu was planning on starting his own family until he took the blame for the murder of {{Sohei Dojima}} and was imprisoned for ten years.
December 2005, after his release, Kazuma returns to his home town Kamurocho, but due to his deeds, he is a marked man by the entire yakuza community.
10 billion yen has been stolen from the Tojo Clan.
He meets a young girl named Haruka Sawamura who has been looking for her mother Mizuki, the sister of his childhood friend Yumi. The only problem is, he never knew Yumi had a sister and in his absence Yumi disappeared of the face of the earth.
Kiryu's old friend Nishiki now has his own family and is vying for prominence in the Tojo clan.
His adopted father, Fuma, is behind the scenes helping him along the way, but he has a secret that is revealed in tragic circumstances.
All the threads of story, from the events 10 years ago to present day issues, all come together on the top of Millenium Tower where the antagonists are revealed.
