Haruka Sawamura is a mainstay of the Yakuza series.

Born 1996.

Daughter of {{Yumi Sawamura}} and {{Kyohei Jingu}} .

She affectionately calls Kiryuu "Ojisan" (おじさん) which can be translated as "Geezer", although some people like to think of it as "Uncle".

Is 16 years of age when the main part of the game takes place in December 2012. This is verified on the TV in the Udon truck stop that Kiryu uses in Fukuoka.

Moves from the Sunshine Orphanage in Okinawa to Osaka with {{Mirei Paku}} in 2011. Haruka becomes a member of Mirei's talent agency, Dyna Chair to become an idol.

Is a playable character in Part 3 and has her own set of sub-stories .

Has a rivalry with {{Mai Sanada}}, who is in duo T-SET.

Haruka's "Another Drama" is "The Road to Idol" . where she is trying to win the Princess League TV idol contest.

Ryuu Ga Gotoku 4 / Yakuza 4

Haruka is now 12.

She is in in Junior High, denoted by the school uniform she wears. Her appearance in Yakuza 4 deviates a bit from her childish look, into a look that is a bit more physically mature. This is emphasised by a near rape scene between her and one of the game's protagonists.

(To Tanimura) "Um.. Uncle Kaz didn't eat his green peppers the other day. I think you should arrest him!"

Ryuu Ga Gotoku 3 / Yakuza 3

Haruka is 11 (going on 12) and is living in Sunshine Orphanage in Okinawa with the orphans and{{Kazuma Kiryu| Kazuma}}.

Being older and a bit more mature than the other kids, she tends to take on much of the responsibilities as the role of a surrogate mother or older sister.

Ryuu Ga Gotoku: Kenzan

A young pre-teen Haruka arrives in Gion looking for Kazumanosuke Kiryu, she has been told that he will help her avenge the murder of her parents and brother.

She asks Kiryu to kill Miyamoto Musashi, not knowing they are one and the same person!

Kiryu will accept her mission if she pays him, so she decides to work in the Tsuruya Brothel to earn the money.

Realising that someone is impersonating him as Musashi, Kiryu decides to unlock the secret behind Haruka's parents murder.

Ryuu Ga Gotoku 2 / Yakuza 2

Kiryu and Haruka see Terada assassinated when they go to the graveyard to pay their respects.

Later Haruka is kidnapped and used as a pawn. Kiryu rescues her and takes her around Osaka. She gets spotted by a talent agency and has two opposing agencies fight to get her signature.

Kiryu takes her to Kamurocho with Kaoru. She waits whilst Kiryu saves the town but is looking on from the helicopter above Millennium Tower when the bomb is about to go off.

The game comes full circle where it ends with Kiryu and Haruka are in the graveyard showing their respects to fallen friends.

Ryuu Ga Gotoku / Yakuza

9 years old (confirmed by Kiryu in Chapter 9: Rescue Chinatown) and 120cm.

Haruka is a young girl searching for her mother, {{Mizuki Sawamura}}, whom evidence seems to indicate is Yumi's younger sister.

Kiryuu finds her in the bar Bachus /Bantam and gets stuck with her.

Haruka is also somehow connected to the Tojo Clan money that went missing before {{Kazuma Kiryu|Kiryu's}} release.

Before arriving in Kamurocho, she too lived at the {{Sunflower Orphanage}}.

Kiryu helps Haruka find her mother.
